    Our friendly church is prominently located in the village of Lemsford, Hertfordshire. The village of Lemsford itself is well known throughout the area for its large mill on the River Lea which winds its way through Brocket Hall Park.

    Members of our lively congregation live in Lemsford, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield and elsewhere in the surrounding area. We also have a special concern for Hatfield Garden Village as well as our own parish.

    Our main Sunday Service is at 11 am. Each Sunday we also have an 8.00 am Holy Communion (Prayer Book) and a 6.30 pm Evening Service, variable.

    Without the early involvement of Mr Geoffrey Dodds, M.A., of St Albans Abbey, the installation of the Lemsford Bells may never have happened. His dedication and inspirational search for suitable bells, his overseeing of the volunteer construction team and the many hours of hard practical work was an amazing achievement.

    we have an active Children and young people congregation. St John's School, also in Lemsford, is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School with close links to the church.

    Children are welcome in church and are a valued part of our church family. All ages join for the whole service in church once a month and on other occasions.

    We are part of the Bishop's Hatfield Team Ministry within the Diocese of St. Albans. Other members of the Team Ministry are the four churches in the parish of Bishop's Hatfield - St. Etheldreda's, St. Michael and All Angels', St. John the Evangelist's, St. Luke's and St. Mary's, North Mymms.

St John's Church Lemsford

Our friendly church is prominently located in the village of Lemsford, Hertfordshire. You can find us north of Hatfield, close to Welwyn Garden City on the B653 at the South East side of Brocket Hall Park. The village of Lemsford itself is well known throughout the area for its large mill on the River Lea which winds its way through Brocket Hall Park.

Every Sunday during term time, except the first Sunday of the month when we have our family service, for children of all ages up to year 6. Contact joholifield@gmail.com

Collective Worship with St John’s School at 9am during term time.
Morning Prayer at 10am.

13th April 7.00pm, Maundy Thursday Meal
St Michaels invites all to a meal and service, the suggested cost is £4.50 per head. Sign up on the list at the back of the Church or let Jackie know.

Service Friday 14th April - Good Friday
A one hour Service of Reflection

Services Sunday 16th April – Easter Day
8am BCP Holy Communion led by Paul Seymour
11am Family Communion & Baptism with a Service of Light, led by Paul Seymour - and of course, our Easter Egg Hunt

1st May – FETE!!!!
Please sign up for a slot at the fete. Even an hour would be of great help. See the sign up list at the back of the church or if you are able to help or have any roles you'd like to do chat to either Richard Cuthbert or Paul Butler.
